Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox born December 25 in 1954. She was born in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was a student at the Royal Academy of Music, London during the 1970s. She studied the harpsichord and the flautist piano for three years. She survived on a student stipend and did part-time jobs to supplement her budget. Lennox, while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy about her performances compared to that of the other students. She began considering alternatives. Lennox was initially musician with the group Dragons Playground. But she quit before her band was requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent show New Faces. From 1977 until 1980 she was singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British pop group. That was also where she got to know Dave Stewart with whom she will form Pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to release her first solo album Diva. It was released in the year 1992. It was a massive critical and commercial success. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album by herself came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs favorite soul jazz and blues songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four tracks that she improvised for piano that Lennox released in May, 2019. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut independent album and a companion to her art work made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let you go... Annie Lennox (born December 25, 1954) is an artist from Scotland. Scottish musician and political activist. The Tourists were a new-wave group who had some popularity in the latter part of 1970s. Then, she became a part of the band with fellow singer-songwriter Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox's debut album in 1992 Diva featured a number of hit songs, including Why as well as Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa, her 1995 album studio features version covers of No MoreI Love Yous as well as The Whiter Shade of Pale. She has released six solo studio and compilation albums.
